Mayor Holland Issues Water Conservation Order
For Immediate Release
OAK GROVE, La. --- Oak Grove Mayor Adam Holland has issued a Water Conservation Order as water production has been suspended at the Oak Grove Water Plant in order to replace the 10” lines and valves to the booster pumps supplying the ground storage and elevated tanks. This order goes into effect immediately and will last through Friday afternoon unless extended.
Water Customers are asked to not use any unnecessary water as the town is relying on its 300,000 gallons of reserve water that is in its storage facilities to last through this phase of construction.
This replacement is part of the almost $1 million water plant rehabilitation project that was funded by Gov. John Bel Edwards via the Louisiana Community Development Block Grant Program.
The town apologizes for any inconvenience and ask that you please do your part in conserving water in order for water service to be maintained without issuing a boil advisory during this time.
